Day 4

Task: The meaning behind your tumblr name

Me...

My friend Nandipha and I started a tumblr page not so long ago. Before that we were co-bloggers on "blogspot". Both our blogspot and tumblr names is "September 34". I came up with the name after being unimpressed with Nandipha's weak suggestions *BBM uninterested face*.

Initially we were going to go by the name "Cape Town to Joburg" [yawn] because I'm based in Cpt, and she in Jhb, but we decided against it as it would be slightly awkward once I move back to Jhb.

So, September 34 it was. We are born, one year and a day apart (yes, I'm the older one), so September 3 is the day of my birthday (every year) and September 4 is Nandipha's...

Honey...

*no tumblr*
Bacc21 was one of my passwords
Short for getting my Bacc degree @ the age of 21.
Came up with it in first year.
now 6yrs later it reminds me of the saying; "Wanna make God laugh? Tell him about ur plans."
It also ,now, symbolizes how far I've come with this CA dream

Sifiso...

Quite an interesting task for today, seeing as I don't know what tumblr is, I can assume I don't have a tumblr name... Can't watch face.

I can explain what my Twitter name's about...

At school my computer user name was 04GMapS
04. - year I matriculate
G. - Gillingham - my boarding house
Map - 1st 3 letters of my surname
S - I usually get called names including S (like S-hole)

So for Twitter, since I won't be graduating, I chose my year of birth. I've always prided myself on my youth.

My BBM name, very simple. Khutso started this thing of calling me Smooth Criminal, which was later shortened to Smooth. Those were my original BBM names. O Suave is a combination of Irish and Portugese musings. O Suave in portugese means "the smooth one". Very suave and befitting. O'Suave is just a play on your typical Irish surname (eg O'Driscoll; O'Sullivan). Was actually supposed to embrace Scotland at some stage and change it to McSuave.

I like to juxtapose things that don't seemingly go together:) I love doing that to show that things are not as disconnected as we think, or that things are more connected than we originally perceive.

Hope I've done good
